Sadly the anime is only 25 episodes and couldn't stuff in "Aki" a former Void Researcher who endup quit the Void research institute and focus on atone for her sin as she initially play a part in researching dragonkin and this tragic project. Quna and Hadred story is very emotional and combine with Quna's "Eien no Encore" that she sing for Harded made this event one of the best arc PSO2 could offer.Įri Kitamura ( Quna VA ) does a very GREAT JOB with this song as it both represent Quna emtion and feeling toward her little brother and how her love no longer reach him as his mind slowly went berserk. The stuff and climax just keep getting better and better from here as story reveal mysteries one by one and how it connect with each other. This is the episode that change my mind about PSO2 story 6 years ago and made me stay loyal to PSO2 to this day. They would never have been able to fit everything into 25 episodes in the first place, so even if I lament the loss of some scenes, it's still been an enjoyable watch for me so far. I think they're doing a pretty good job turning the story from Game to Anime, taking the liberties they need to do so. ![]() It's not really a particularly important scene, but I think it's a really sweet one, and is one that really solidifies the relationship the player character and Quna have.īut yeah, overall I liked the arc. Lastly I'm kind of sad we didn't get the post-credits scene with Quna on the Arks ship. The only thing Ash really did, that Quna couldn't have done herself, was call attention to Haddred's dying request. Heck he didn't even get to join in on the fight. It was more like he was just there by coincidence, rather than actively being a help. Also Ash's role in this whole affair was very limited. We don't see Ash interact with Idol Quna even once, so I wouldn't be surprised if some new watchers didn't catch the connection, as her name was only really meantioned two or three times a couple of episodes go. Also we got the Eternal Encore ending, which is definitely some good icing on the cake.īut because of the anime being on a rather tight schedule, a lot of the character build up kind of got lost. I'd argue even better than the game, given how it was a lot more "show" and a lot less "tell". ![]() On one hand they handled the actual meat of the story very well. The Haddred arc was kind of a mixed bag to me. And the gates to Episode 2 are swung wide open. ![]()
